Hola Diciembre and hola to you!!
Hope you are doing fine.
I am finally writing another installment of this endeavor that I proudly started back in August! And I’m happy to continue this ride with around 37 people who have joined me so far. I really, really want to grow this family and need your support to continue doing this refreshing work and to bring to you an assortment of little joys! I hope you will spread the word about this newsletter with your friends and family if you really feel happy being here.
Now as we enter another month, the last month of this year, I today realized how fleeting this year was!! Maybe you think the same way. Though this year had many bad and good parts, I think it went away pretty quickly. That’s why I quoted Andrew Marvell’s lines in the banner above.
It is like some kind of countdown starts from the moment we are born. A countdown to the moment of death. Hence, Marvell says “I hear time’s wingèd chariot hurrying near”. But December is about other things too, not just a lamentation on “fleeting time”.
December is about getting cozy in your thick, colorful blankets, trying out new winter looks every time you go out (coats or cardigans, boots or ballerinas, shawls or mufflers), snuggling up to read your favorite thriller and anticipating the upcoming holidays. I hope you have a great December ahead :)

1. THIS IS ONE OF THOSE POEMS WITHOUT ANY RHYMES by Brian Bilston
2. No Choice Now by Emily Gibson
3. Hiking Haiku from Sleeping Buffalo Mountain by Jenny Wong
rabbit leaves behind the cadence of its heartbeat imprints in the snow * pines creak under moon long thin throats scratched with bark roughed in old language * buffalo slumbers jagged spine of mountain peaks a cougar tiptoes

Literature develops imagination. And an excellent imagination breeds a magnificent writer.

What I feel worth sharing
It’s Never Too Late, a series about people who decide to pursue their dreams on their own terms.
For those who feel left out or lonely — you could perhaps turn the rags of loneliness into a sleek Cinderella gown.

What I’ve been up to
My poem “She” has been published in an anthology, Scream it at the Back Wall, by the Canadian publisher The Soap Box Press.
I presented a paper at The 19th International Biennial Symposium on Literature and Culture in the Asia-Pacific Region, being held for the first time in India at our Aligarh Muslim University. It was held around the topic— Literature and the Non-Human: Abrogating the Anthropocene. I enjoyed being part of the discussion. Gained more newer insights into this area of English literary and critical studies. My paper was titled— Being Biocentric in an Anthropocene World: Relation between Man and Nature in Frances H. Burnett’s The Secret Garden.
My poetry collection A Leaf upon a Book has been recommended among 7 poetry books by Indian poets that are a must read.
My poem “Study of a Land I’ve Never Known” will be re-published in the upcoming issue of The Shallot: Journal of Mental Health, Art & Literature.
So that’s all for today. Hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed curating it!
Thank you :)
